Just after Mother's and Father's Day, Green Bay celebrated "Kids' Day" Friday.
Mayor Jim Schmitt hosted a lunch at Leicht Park where children enjoyed inflatable games, rock wall climbing and exploring rock wall climbing.
They also learned about healthy eating.
"It's kids of all walks of life; kids from the far east side, the far west side, downtown," said Mayor Schmitt. "It's good that they know we're all kids here in Green Bay and if they can be friends at this age, they can grow up together and be respectful and friends and healthy, that's what we need."
Mayor Schmitt said he hopes the event will also encourage volunteerism in children.
