A fire in a detached workshop in Two Rivers caused $50,000 worth of damage Saturday.
The homeowner called 911 around 11:36 a.m. for a fire at 813 29th Street. Crews found a 1.5 car garage used as a workshop with visible flames and heavy smoke, the Two Rivers Fire Department said.
Crews had the fire under control by 11:55, but they remained on scene until after 3 p.m. to extinguish hot spots, the fire department said.
Putting out the flames was difficult due to a heavy fire load inside the garage, crews said.
There were no injuries, but the inside of the garage had significant smoke and fire damage.
The Two Rivers Fire Department is investigating and still trying to determine the cause of the fire.
