First responders freed a semi-truck driver Sunday afternoon after the tractor trailer went off the road and partially submerged in a retention pond.
Fire crews say they truck was about 600 feet off of the road on State Highway 172 at Interstate-43.
Steep terrain and wet conditions made freeing the driver challenging.
They were able to get the driver out of the truck, and he went to a local hospital.
