A 33-year-old Appleton man was pronounced dead at the scene of a crash near the Town of Holland late Thursday night.
He collided with a dump truck traveling south on state highway 57 at Wayside Road after failing to stop for a stop-sign, deputies said. Both vehicles then caught fire.
The dump truck was driven by a 33-year-old Greenleaf man. He was treated and released from the hospital.
The crash is under investigation by the Brown County Accident Reconstruction Team.
