One man was killed in a rollover crash in Green Bay last night. Green Bay police report icy roads led to the fatal crash on I-43 near E. Mason Street.
They say the slippery conditions were responsible for a driver losing control of a vehicle headed north at about 7 p.m. Saturday. The vehicle rolled down the embankment after leaving the highway. A 41 year old Illinois man was thrown from the vehicle. Despite the efforts of a nurse who was driving by and stopped to give medical treatment as well as Green Bay Fire who transported the patient to a nearby hospital, the passenger died from his injuries.
The driver and one of the passengers were treated at the scene for minor injuries. The crash is under investigations. Officials believe road conditions were the main factor in this crash.
