A driver suffered significant injuries after rear-ending a school bus in Menominee County Tuesday morning.
Around 7:30 a.m., a Menominee Indian School District school bus was stopped with its lights flashing on STH 55, the Menominee County Sheriff's Department said.
The bus was rear-ended by one vehicle, deputies said.
This was the first day of school for the Menominee Indian School District. No students were injured and they were transferred to another bus.
The driver was airlifted to a nearby hospital.
The school bus was driven from the scene. STH 55 reopened by 8:25 a.m.
