An Appleton child abuse prevention organization plans to make spirits brighter for children in the Fox Valley through its second annual Kids and Christmas Toy Drive.
B.A.B.E.S., Inc. hosted the drive Tuesday at Horicon Bank, where members of the community dropped off toys.
The donations will be given to children at the non-profit's annual holiday party.
"Our families are extremely appreciative of what the community does for us," explained Elder Williams, B.A.B.E.S., Inc. executive director. "We've been talking to them and expressing to the families, please don't go out and spend a lot of money because 90-98% of the families that we serve are low income."
B.A.B.E.S., Inc. offers free respite services and parent counseling to help prevent child abuse.
