Across the country, millions of people celebrated the first total solar eclipse to cross the entire continental United States in nearly 100 years.
In Menasha, one couple's celebration of the eclipse was a little different.
Kyle and Sarah Levenhagen of Neenah got married under the shadow of the solar eclipse at Smith Park in Monday afternoon.
Family and friends grabbed solar eclipse glasses as they made their way into the ceremony.
The two said they knew having their wedding on such a memorable day would be special.
"It's a unique event, and to marry that with a marriage is a unique opportunity," said Kyle Levenhagen. "I couldn't have been more pleased and I have the feeling our guests are happy with the way it turned out."
The newlyweds said they were surprised how many guests showed up to their Monday afternoon wedding, adding the eclipse made it that much better for everyone.
